(SportsData) — Oklahoma Sooners senior defensive tackle Stacy McGee was arrested early Monday for driving under the influence and driving with a suspended license, according to the Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office in Oklahoma.
The police complaint states that McGee was arrested at 1:15 Monday and released from the Cleveland County Detention Center around 8 a.m. Monday.
This is not the first trouble for McGee this year. He was also suspended for the first six games of the season for violating university rules during the preseason.
McGee has been a regular part of the Sooners’ rotation at defensive tackle. Assuming he won’t be allowed to play against the Texas A&M in the Cotton Bowl on Jan. 4, Oklahoma would likely plug in freshman Jordan Phillips to take his place.
This is the third time that a Sooner football players has been arrested since the regular season ended. Wide receiver Jalen Saunders and cornerback Cortez Johnson were arrested earlier this month on misdemeanor charges of marijuana possession.
