(SportsData) – Indiana Pacers forward Danny Granger could be back in the lineup by February, according to a report in the Indianapolis Star. Pacers head coach Frank Vogel told the Star that Granger is progressing on schedule and might return from his left knee injury in early February, or even late January.
Granger was on crutches for a few weeks after receiving an injection in his left knee in early November to treat patellar tendinitis. He never fully recovered from a knee injury he sustained during the playoffs last May. The 29-year-old received blood-platelet treatment on the knee in September, but was only able to participate in one preseason game and has not appeared in any regular season games this season.
The Star reports Granger has been attending games and practices and appears to be walking around fine.
Granger led the Pacers in minutes per game (33.3) and points per game (18.7) last season.
